I have been working at WaveCreste full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Challenging environment that seeks an energetic and curious individual willing to take some initiative to go beyond documented job description. You will have the opportunity to work from home as much as 90%.

    Cons

Since this is a small rural employer that contracts with AT&T the pay is stagnant. There are few if any possibilities for promotion of any kind. There is the threat of working weekends.

    Advice to Management

Again since this is a contract position you will have a Tech Mahindra manager that you will never heard from. Wavecreste management has little to no input or relevance other than to supply a paycheck.

    I worked at WaveCreste full-time

    Pros

Absolutely none. Wasted years of my life. No benefits. You are treated like a bonded slave. You have to meet unreasonable expectations.

    Cons

You have to do personal work for the owner James Goodman. The CEO has changed 4 times in 4 years. The owner acts like he is a king. You don't work for the company. Instead for the owner.

    Advice to Management

Close shop and spare the careers of your employees. You have not demonstrated any values towards your employees. The owner is no a visionary like everyone perceives. Just a self centered person who wants to make a quick buck.

  6. Lots of employee entitlement

I have been working at WaveCreste full-time

    Pros

WaveCreste offers competitive compensation, practical use and development of technical skills, a professional environment, good benefits and occasional "extras" like holiday parties and team lunches. I was surprised by the negative reviews on this site. Some say the pay isn't competitive, yet those same people accepted job offers and continue to work here. I have witnessed a lot of entitlement among some of the team - expecting above-market pay, excessive coddling via rewards and bonuses, fun extras like freebies and parties (which we actually get), and constant pats on the back for doing what we're paid to do. There are always things that can be better at any job or organization, but why not be part of the solution? Negative attitudes don't foster a more positive work environment, they poison it. If you want the environment to be better, perhaps start by looking in the mirror.

    Cons

There has been some frequent turnover in leadership which can be frustrating; communication from leadership could be better.

    Advice to Management

More communication from leadership would be beneficial in fostering a team environment and helping employees understand the state of the company (earnings, sales outlook, existing contract status, strategy/vision/goals, etc.).

  7. Poor management, poor communication, no follow-through

I have been working at WaveCreste full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They are very positive. Time off policy is fairly flexible (PTO). The AT&T managers (external) were understanding and encouraging.

    Cons

Compensation is less than adequate. Office culture has gone down the tubes. Refusal of the company to pay PTO upon separation from the organization. Company has taken 8 and 1/2 months (and counting) to pay a promised end-of-year bonus (which was in lieu of a raise). There are virtually NO opportunities for advancement in this company!

    Advice to Management

Please trumpet successes! You don't actually seem to be following through with any of your visionary and positive messages. Also, Why has it taken 8 and a half months to "think about" the annual bonus that was supposed to have been given at the end of last year?

I worked at WaveCreste full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good 'stepping stone' place to work, for those with tech skills, in an market lacking many (if any) jobs for this skill set. It is a great thing to have on your resume and many employees have gone on to better jobs through the contacts they have made here.

    Cons

Mismanaged - the company has both the drawbacks of being big and small. Big company in the way that employees are treated like a semi-disposable product and small in the way that gossip and immature behavior are rampant. There are literally ZERO chances for advancement, regardless what the company says. Most of the founding employees and management have left, taking their ideas with them, leaving the current set to go down with the ship.

    Advice to Management

You have a great concept (rural 'outsourcing') a concept that you pioneered, but now others have done it better. To say there was a lack of transparency would be an understatement. The company ACTIVELY keeps info from the employees, purposely so that cannot compare notes. The employees often hear of staff changes or company news from external clients, with whom the company shares this info.

I worked at WaveCreste full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people I worked with in my project were fantastic, and very eager to help someone out.

    Cons

The extended hours with no compensation. Being on call for deployments every weekend when originally was told that this would happen maybe once a month.

    Advice to Management

People get tired, and don't like being lied to.
