    Pros

Its a great place is you are looking for part time. As a collage student its hard to find a job that would allow you to pick your own hours. However at wawa if you are a good employ they give you hours whenever you want. They are open 24/7 so they need people and the business is expanding so more hours to give. They are also great to their employes.

    Cons

The break is very short and if you are working at a really busy wawa(which they often are) than you almost never have downtime, its constant work and very fast pace.

    Advice to Management

    Break time ...

I worked at Wawa part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wawa is a good place to work if you are looking for part-time (with the opportunity to pick up more hours), fast-paced work. The company does care about their employees and rewards them when they do an exceptional job at certain tasks with an item called "goosebumps." You can save and use your Goosebumps points for movie tickets, Wawa gear, etc.

    Cons

The downside is that if you are looking to have a consistent, normal 9-5 schedule, this job is not for you. You may not always get time to eat your lunch on shift and there are frequent call-offs, so shifts are used to being short-handed.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have any advice per se. I think a little bit of more organization wouldn't hurt anyone though...

    Pros

-Particularly with my store, we took the Wawa brand very seriously and that resulted in overall excellent morale. Most co-workers were very hard working and friendly, and there was rarely issues with customers because of the level of customer service we provided
-The training provided by the company is very thorough, informative, and easy to grasp. It is also always available for review if needed
-Though I was not benefits eligible, I worked for another company that dealt with Wawa's benefits and I could see that they offer excellent coverage
-The job is not difficult. As long as you can follow instructions and work well as a team, you'll be golden

    Cons

-Everyone kind of had their "thing." I was almost always on the register. While I was good at it, I really would have loved more opportunity to work in other areas of the store. The times that I worked deli were much more enjoyable, and I felt I was strong there as well.
-My store was small and therefore somewhat overwhelming when at peak hours
-Pay is not the best, but more than minimum which is saying something for a job like this
-Long hours constantly on your feet, and sometimes really weird hours. I never worked 3rd shift (the overnight shift) but I have worked late into the night many times.

    Advice to Management

Keep stressing the importance of customer service. It is crucial to business. Any poor experience I've had at any Wawa has been because of poor customer service. The food could take forever or not been made the best, but as long as the employee was friendly about it, that's what mattered more.

    Pros

Great culture, they do promote having fun while at work, you do become a part of the customers daily lives and see some of the same people every day and learn names and make friends

    Cons

Depending on who your General Manager is, your development may stall. You receive two reviews a year and if you receive any negative marks, you are stereotyped and even if you improve, they still have a perception of you from your bad reviews

    Advice to Management

Hold General Managers more accountable to develop lower managers. Some General Managers work hard at developing people and some are just worried about their own development

    Pros

Familial, culture, community services and projects, diversity, opportunity, benefits, flexibility.

    Cons

Unrealistic demands. Smaller store budgets. Becoming more out of touch as company builds to saturate market.

    Advice to Management

    Spend more to make more.
