    Pros

Family like work environment. Cutting edge technology, and always has a finger on the pulse of the customer. Unlimited resources at your disposal.

    Cons

Always gogogo, never a moment to breathe or stop to eat. Longer hours than expected.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to stop for a minute and listen to their managers and associates, they have a lot to say, but you rarely take the time to listen.

    Pros

Base salary and bonuses are generous and competitive for the market. Total compensations is the kicker! 401K Match, and Employee Stock Ownership Program plop a nice chunk of change on your already competitive salary. The work culture is very good. People are engaged and easy to work with. Work/life balance is fantastic and your managers ENCOURAGE you to take time off. PTO is generous and keeps growing year to year.

    Cons

Tough to move up because nobody wants to leave! Internal customer service staggers from department to department. Some managers/associates aren't great at making a partner feel valued. Although this is a con, I feel like every company has issues like this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Surveys for internal customer service to assess relationships between departments. Encourage mentoring and partnerships between different teams to allow high performing to develop. The most common complaint for non-management associates is how difficult it is to break through to the management side from a personal contributor. Perhaps, management development classes for high performers should be made available.

The benefits and pay are beyond compare, but it is a 24/7 fast-paced, stressful lifestyle. Wawa is not for the weak!

    Pros

Salary, ESOP, Paid time off, community involvement, internal promotions, internal training, opportunities in a variety of jobs, tuition reimbursement, fast-paced, hectic, physically demanding, rewarding, up-lifting culture, leadership that listens. We are given the opportunity to make most decisions as if we were business owners. We are given the tools to succeed.

    Cons

24-7, weekends, holidays, entitled customers, demanding expectations, work-life balance. Wawa is a constant on-call situation. We never close, that means everyone from the GM down must work holidays and weekends. This can be difficult to balance with family obligations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Help the associates (GM down the ranks) to focus and improve their work-life balance, constant on-call status of GM and AGM. Stores need help with recruiting and retention especially around 3rd shift and 3rd shift management. GMs cannot be in their stores 24/7, sometimes bad things happen and the GM could not have prevented it.

    Pros

The pay is amazing, and working in the deli is so much fun, but except during lunch rush, and register is so simple. And I love my co workers there so cool and fun

    Cons

Being in the cold box is honestly the worst and when you start working there everyone ask you to do everything, but it gets better

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More space in the deli

    Pros

Wawa is like a family. You make connections with your customers, coworkers, managers, and even your vendors. You will feel like you are part of a family.

Wawa also is a big supporter in local community events. They provide the ability for you to make an impact on your community.

Excellent pay and benefits. 401k and Employee Profit Sharing.

    You will LOVE your job!

    Cons

Sometimes you can be placed in a store up to an hour away from your home, but usually it's about 20 to 30 minutes away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it easier for associates to provide ideas to improve products and how to improve to company.

    Pros

Wawa is a great place to work, the company cares about the associates and managers, they help all interested individuals move up into the company into great careers! All eligible WAWA associates get company shares $$. Wawa is a company that does a lot for the customers and community in which we as associates can participate in as well! If you have the opportunity to work in multiple stores or attend community events every associate working at Wawa is friendly ad interesting to talk to and learn from. I have made some great friends ad contact along my journey. There are also lots of special customers you get to know at Wawa's all over! It is an overall great experience and feeling to work for this company filled with passion and a company that wants to and does the right thing! Where can you find a company that the CEO remembers your face and says hi and comes to events and keeps you updated on what's going on!

    Cons

Each store has its pros and cons. Yes many Wawa stores are busy, busy, busy, but to get through a lunch rush and put sandwiches in customers hands and smiles on their faces is very rewarding. To work in a store and be able to handle the craziness at times and the stress gives you such a sense of accomplishment that you and your team can conquer anything that comes your way because you are with your team working together as a family!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As with any job make sure you balance work and home life. But at work be able to embrace the Wawa culture and get involved and make network connections that will help you in the future and create great long lasting relationships. Find that one friend to vent to from time to time, but remember Wawa is one of the best companies to work for that cares about their people and pays well!!!
