I worked at Weatherford Laboratories full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My immediate manager/supervisor was excellent. Expectations were clear. Good feedback, pro and con. Available and supportive during projects and operations. Benefits are good. Office culture was good.

    Cons

Senior management extremely political and personal agenda driven. Zero trust. Subordinates were tools for advancement.

    Pros

Parking spot located in the building

    Cons

Great if you're looking to shorten your life span from mercury exposure.

    Advice to Management

Replace current management with people who have business background, not random people who have worked there for a long time

I have been working at Weatherford Laboratories full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I would say stability, job security, pension, some overtime and benefits

    Cons

No career development, seen people doing the same job for years, if any vacancy comes up no chance to fill it internally Basic Pay No advancement,

    Advice to Management

I think over all lots of management staff comparing to the number of employee, secondly they should give more chance to internal employee the opportunities to advance and develop in their career

I worked at Weatherford Laboratories full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lack of any competence among managers means you can basically do what you want. You can wear jeans to work.

    Cons

Almost every single thing imaginable. Shoddy equipment, bad reputation, no training, no value placed on safety, below standard pay, horrible working conditions, no support from office, almost no actual expertise among 'experts' in the company. Very few individuals are the exception to this norm.

    Advice to Management

Take a management training class, or read a book, or look on wikipedia what a manager is supposed to do. I'm sure youtube has some nice instructional videos on how to be an effective manager.

I have been working at Weatherford Laboratories (Less than a year)

    Pros

Really the only pro with this company is that the work load is light.

    Cons

Poor salary. Poor management. People without degrees are given promotions, while people with degrees are stuck in the same position for years. Managers get disgruntled and try to sabotage you if you apply for another position within the company. No raises or bonuses. Good employees are punished for good work by being asked to take over the bad employees work load as well as their own.

    Advice to Management

When a supervisor can't keep good, qualified employees for any extended period of time, it time to start looking into the supervisor's abilities and consider letting them go versus promoting them and giving them more responsibilities.
