I worked at Weatherford full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Work and time off is a good balance

    Cons

    - Forget about moving up in the department or company, managers will try their best to hold you in the same position
    - Management has no sense of professionalism and ethics
    - No proper training given for new technologies
    - Communications when things go wrong in the field is practically avoided by manager

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Weatherford full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Company offers good pay and decent benefits. You get a paycheck every two weeks. Those are pretty much the only positives.

    Cons

People are openly miserable at every level (directors, managers, seniors, staff) and it is a known fact that your peers and bosses are actively looking for employment elsewhere. The recurring joke was that no one would be left next year due to voluntary turnover. When they hire someone, they promise certain things but they never follow through, they are conveniently forgotten, or swept under the rug due to "changes in the organization." HR is completely worthless and non-existent. There are other O&G companies that are more established, have better pay/benefits, and treat their employees like human beings - do not come here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open your eyes - people are not happy.
