ProsThis is a great place to get real world experience when it comes to technology and sales.

ConsThe pay is awful but then again you do have a lot of flexibility

Advice to Senior ManagementFight for better benefits for employees so they can have more ownership of Wildcat Tech.

Current Employee – been working at Weber State University part-time for more than 3 years

ProsCombine studies and work to increase success in both areas. Studies show that students working on campus perform better in their classes. Working in the computer lab is especially convenient, as there is enough down-time to get other things done, like homework.

ConsLow Pay
Difficult to get more than 20 hours/week
Doesn't appear as "serious" on a resume

Prosflexible, great supervisors, keep our math skills fresh, very satisfying, easy going management, great feedback, works with your school schedule

Conspay isn't great, very busy tutoring leading up to finals weeks, low availability of hours to work, no summer employment

ProsTime off and sick leave. Benefits and tuition discounts.

ConsPay is low. Raises are rare to non-existent. No bonuses. More students doesn't mean higher pay.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe legislature keeps your hands tied, but try to find creative incentives to keep employees interested. Stop pointless meetings.
