I have been working at Weed Man

    Pros

If you are interested in sales or customer service you will go far as long as you contribute and meet their goals

    Cons

Other than sales the "coaching" falls short. There is a lot of this for CSR/Sales. Not much attention paid to areas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become aware it takes a village - employees don't want to be grateful the have a job if they are not in sales.

    Pros

There's a task for every personality. Each franchise is like a beehive, and it takes a village. Do your part and make your ambitions known, you'll go as high as your heart will take you!

    Cons

Some offices have short cyclical business. You may get a lay off if the owner doesn't have a plan in off season.

    Pros

Customers are great, and you get to help them make their lawns look better/healthier.

    Cons

Changes pay rates every year. Owner does not like to see employees make more than $30K year, when they made up salaries through sales he cut commissions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember the employees are on the front line and it is ok to pay them money they earn through hard work.

I worked at Weed Man part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    -Good Pay
-Teaching younger workers how to work a job.
    -Locally owned and operated

    Cons

-Lack of hours, it is only 25 hours a week.
-Management does not do a good job on target marketing as they expect a high number of sales leads even in neighborhoods that don't fit their target market.
-Management expects you to be a thorn if the cops ask you to leave the neighborhood if caught without a door knocker permit. I had dealt with this situation a couple of times and management expected me to be a thorn the next time the police asked us to leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop wasting resources in areas that do not fit your target market.

I worked at Weed Man part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you are good, you can make a lot of money for a PT position; relatively easy and relaxed; it's inside sales, so don't expect anything too great

    Cons

You can go home with $0 (do this too often and you get canned); stressful; must get used to people hating you on the phone; dress code too strict for call center

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Great job!
