I have been working at Weeks Marine full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

-19/9 rotation allows for mini vacations and travel.
-willing to train/work with you from nothing
-changing, more modern culture to the company, I see great things
    -privately held company
-opportunity to work on real cool projects
    -great benefits

    Cons

-the 19/9 rotation gets draining after a while. it takes a toll on your personal life.
-sometimes the only way to move up is to wait for sometimes to quit/get fired. seniority plays a large role in the company, but this culture is changing
-pay could be more, field engineers are the lowest payed people on jobs, less than deckhands
-mentality that we are Surveyors, not field engineers
-NO OVERTIME, yet you constantly work 10+ hour days

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find out a way to keep field engineers long, very high turnover rate in this posiiton

I worked at Weeks Marine full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, Per Diem, Overtime pay, Opportunity to travel all along the east and gulf coast

    Cons

Schedule, You work 19 days straight and 9 days off. That gets old after a awhile. It takes an old school breed that is willing to bust their ass.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the work schedule, not many college graduates with engineering degrees want to be in the field for that long..very high turnover rate
