I have been working at Weichert Realtors full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Each office is individually owned; so obviously pros and cons vary by office. I have received excellent training and support. WE have a team environment in an office of only about 10 active agents. The other agents are very willing to help new agents.

    Cons

As in any real estate office, it is what you make it. A lot of up front work is required to get things rolling. This is time consuming and there are many initial expenses as well. This is not a get rich quick environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue your support.

I have been working at Weichert Realtors as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Excellent education for new realtors, unparalleled in the industry. Excellent continuing education, training and support. Very nice office culture

    Cons

It's not an overnight, make big $ kind of job. It takes time to get your RE business going. You get out what you put in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. They are doing a great job.

I have been working at Weichert Realtors for more than 8 years

    Pros

Personal success requires knowledge, experience, intelligence, skills, and a source for creating own market while you wait for pay day on deals.

    Cons

Heavily competitive with part timers of all types, clogging the market place and confusing the public.

I worked at Weichert Realtors part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The hours are flexible, so you can sometimes work around your needs. If you are successful, the financial rewards can be great.

    Cons

There is often back-stabbing by colleagues that don't trust each other, exacerbated by the commission based real estate business. The hours are long and at times inconvenient for families, like nights and weekends. I was a single parent, so it became impossible for me. Also, unless you have someone who can support you for a year or so, it is difficult to get started, with no salary or benefits. Many fees are charged such as Multiple Listing fees, keys, etc. that can easily be over $1000 before you ever start. You might also find yourself cold-calling for new customers, because you don't get time to answer incoming calls.

I worked at Weichert Realtors as a contractor for more than 3 years

    Pros

The manager, Rose, is very sweet and nurturing. Weichert offers full training to new agents and continued onsite training through out your career. The on site mortgage rep is EXTREMELY knowledgeable making it easier to refer your clients to him for business.

    Cons

The office is in an old reform church. The entire office needs a complete remodel to bring it up to modern standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Agents should receive a commission on referrals/closed mortgages made to the mortgage representative.

I have been working at Weichert Realtors full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Training is excellent! No question, hands down. Lead Router system is great. Too bad it comes at such a high price.

    Cons

    Everything beyond the training period.
The pay scale is less than average. Imagine working with clients, selling them a house, bringing a $8,500 commission into the Company, and ending up with $2,252. That's for top producers. If you haven't earned enough money to suit the Company within the last 12 months, your take is a whopping $1700.
You've spent how many hours, how many nights and weekends, the gas you spent driving them around... wear and tear on your car, your cell phone expenses, you've paid your MLS fees and Realtor dues, and the $700.00 Errors and Omissions Insurance.
You can be much better paid at any of their competitors. Take that to the bank!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The economy is tough enough. Your family has been well provided for already. Quite beating down the workers, the sales force that has been out selling on Summer afternoons, holiday weekends, nights, in the snow etc.
Learn to respect the sales force more than the almighty dollar.

These people are the worst. They sit in their ivory tower playing chess with the lives of the workers.
Certain "friends" get a lot more slack than they deserve, breaking laws, etc. Issues are swept away for a chosen few, and magnified for the rest of the little people.

I have been working at Weichert Realtors full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

There is a lot of support and training for both brand new and experienced agents coming from other non-training companies. Despite the large size of our company, there is still a small, family feel. Weichert is on the leading edge with how technology and real estate have come together but still values the face to face, human touch that is much needed in a service business.

    Cons

The only challenges are making sure you take responsibility for staying on top of changes that are occurring in the industry. The company does a decent job at communicating new procedures and systems to it's people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out into the offices more often. There are always great new agents that would like to meet you.

    Pros

The best tools and warm lead transfer company around as long as you

    Cons

rather not say since if your not the bosses pet you get no perks but have to hear about how great the pets who are given relo's,weekend listing opportunities. The awesome wln is suppose to give scrubbed leads but most are very time consuming in addition to a 50/50 split minus 35% leaving you a very small check.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick with what works instead of trying to always change!
