A Wonderful Program. The best available in Mobile.

Preschool Teaching Assistant/Floater/Helper (Former Employee)
Mobile, AL

I worked at Weinacker’s Montessori School part-time for more than a year

Pros1. Fantastic curriculum
2. Reasonable salary
3. Monday-Friday "bankers hours"
4. Holidays Off
5. An excellent benefits package that includes a very good insurance plan.

ConsI wish they could pay more, but they simply cannot afford to do so.

A bit catty, some of the long-term employees have their own agenda and they seem to have an awful lot of "power" and they have their own loyal "disciples'.

Advice to Senior ManagementPush for federally mandated Pre-K4 programs for Alabama. Listen to your teachers complaints and use these as tools to make the program better. Don't put up with gossipy women who can be so catty. Don't put up with the informal organization and their "ring leaders" who bully other teachers. Some teachers and assistants quit because they've been picked on by the "old timers".

Horrible

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Weinacker’s Montessori School

ProsThe only great thing about working there was dealing with the children.

ConsThe management was very unprofessional. There were always too many back door policy type issues where certain people are allowed to do things that others can not. The employees are not treated with respect as how information is not handed down to them.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should act more professional in how it releases information to parents and co workers. Parents should not know things that the workers do not even know, and vice versa.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
