I have been working at Welch Packaging full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You get what you put in and then some.

    Cons

It's give and take: It's a small private company that is family oriented so it can be a social gossip nightmare but what place isn't anymore? As long as you remain professional you will be fine. However, if you find yourself in that gossip circle you will not last long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it professional at all times, work hard and Scott Welch, Dave Miller and friends will all help you achieve your goals!

    Pros

Ample opportunity for advancement. Open and honest communication with managers.

    Cons

There is a lot of lateral movement in this company. If you don't like to learn new jobs and responsibilities then this company is not for you.

I have been working at Welch Packaging full-time

    Pros

Great people, ability to move up if you are willing to work hard. I love the fact that upper level management is available to talk to when you have ideas or concerns.

    Cons

There is a lot of moving around; if you like having the same job for a long time and not being offered other opportunities, this is not the place for you

Former Employee - Intern in Elkhart, IN

I worked at Welch Packaging as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Good people, decent hourly wage and given opportunities to branch out within the company. Training in different departments and relocation is possible.

    Cons

The Elkhart location, while the most advanced, is in a really small town in Indiana with not to much for a younger employee to participate in.
