    Pros

They value their employees and provide many extra benefits including on site fitness center, game room, cafeteria. Health benefits starting right away and 18 days of PTO to start.

I worked at WellCare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The best Pro I can think of is that you learn a lot. You are thrown in and no one holds your hand.

    Cons

The work hours are extreme and the work life balance is not even a consideration. A famous quotes for when I worked there were "there are 24 hours in a day", meant as a response of why something could not be completed in the short expectation set. Calls all hours of the day / night, 7 days a week were the norm. Yelling was acceptable management behavior and ridicule was acceptable in meetings by my boss and other management. This was truly the worst place I ever worked.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know they have had changes since I was there but I hear it is no different. Suggestion would be realize your employees are your best asset. With the high turnover of employees you are loosing money in productivity. Acceptable management behavior is usually top down and the higher you went the more dysfunctional it became when I was there.

I have been working at WellCare part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, opportunity for growth. Managers will let you own your work. Ability to learn new skill-sets in your particular field.

    Cons

I have had a good experience at WellCare and do not have any CONs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on motivating individuals and promoting from within at the lower levels. IT needs more organization and can improve documentation.

I worked at WellCare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Compensation package is great, co-workers could be friendly, however remember this is sales. There aren't many friends in sale

    Cons

No work-life balance, management is mostly concerned with numbers and not how to help you reach your productivity goal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

MANAGEMENT SHOULD ALSO FOCUS ON BEING OUT IN THE FIELD GIVING PRESENTATIONS TO DOCTORS AND BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS TO FURTHER ESTABLISH A POSITIVE OUTLOOK OF WELLCARE AMONGST THE PROVIDER NETWORK

I have been working at WellCare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have friends that have found success working in this environment and in these economic times that's a good thing.

    Cons

Management was disrespectful and mean. I was hired and told that their expectations were low because I was educated with too much corporate experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get trained

    Pros

Good benefits, work from home supported and encouraged where applicable, lots of engaged people, corporate campus nice, on-site cafeteria and gym.

    Cons

Some departments run by their own agenda, management by fire, low morale in many areas, IT dictates requirements to business units

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the little mini-kingdom managers and ensure all are supporting corporate initiatives.
