Pros
Flexible hours; Senior Management keeps communication lines open and associates informed; Camaraderie amongst associates; Opportunities exist for personal and professional growth for those that desire to achieve; work at home flexibility; encouragement of work-life balance.
Cons
The only con I can add relates to the Tuition Reimbursement benefit. Across the board, it's the same but, not everyone utilizes this great benefit. The current cap should be raised for associates that pursue advanced degrees. This would be a case-by-case consideration.
Advice to Senior Management
A more informed and educational perspective regarding WellPoint's 'renewal' process would help associates understand that to remain competitive in today's global economy, cost cutting is necessary as a form of WellPoint renewing itself. Encouragement to associates to take advantage of the Tuition Reimbursement benefit or continued training would benefit the associates at WellPoint or help with future transitions to new career paths within WellPoint or future employers.
