    Pros

Great Benefits, work hours you wanted, co-workers were close as family members

    Cons

working for someone that showed favoritism to her friends and not the employees , her way or no way and HR would not take action.

    Advice to Management

I worked 18 years with Wellmont Health System with perfect attendance. I would make a great employee. I am loyal employee and get alone with co-workers.

  2. Favoritism, low pay, under staffed

I have been working at Wellmont Health System full-time

    Pros

Offers opportunities to first time job seekers to acquire experience while serving a great community.

    Cons

Very low pay, opportunity for advancement granted to friends and family (it depends on who you know), extremely political leading to distrust and paranoia amongst employees. Often under staffed.

    Advice to Management

Lighten up and trust your employees, go outside your circle of friends and family to fill positions. Improve the hiring process. It should'nt take 6 months to fill a position.

I worked at Wellmont Health System full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some really great employees who care about their work

    Cons

Favoritism, constant changes that were not necessary (change for the sake of changing), far under payed and when asked for a market adjustment told to wait until next year. I left the company and within 2 months they promoted 2 people in the small department of 8 to manager. Why does 8 people need 3 managers and a director?

    Advice to Management

    Check your bottom lines better

    Pros

Took the position to work remote, which meant I left a secure position of 10 years. But, the gave me a raise and promised I could work remote. Only had to travel in once a week for a team meeting.

    Cons

After, management changed I was told I would have to commute a long distance daily to work.

    Advice to Management

Stand up for the good employees
