    Pros

    can't think of to many

    Cons

Likes to try and find someone who will work for less and if found, cancels one's scheduled time at last minute.
Will send one home in the middle of a shift if they decide that not enough customers are showing up.
    Obvious GLBT discrimination.

    Pros

Very professional to work with. you can always reach someone if you have any questions, they listen to your concerns.

    Cons

They have several Health Clinics in California, but most of the time it is hard to sign up on shiftboard. I think that many team leaders have their favorites who get all the jobs, also sometimes it is only a to 4 -6 hr shift. it would take you up to four hours to get there. which makes no sense.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe they can check where the person lives and make assigments closer to that persons home

    Pros

It is a very casual environment -you can wear workout clothes if you want to, and people often take breaks to do headstands, tabata, or just go for a walk. There is some flexibility in the your hours, and you can work from home when necessary.

    Cons

I think the business is growing faster than management was prepared for. There is a lack of processes and business infrastructure. Many departments are also understaffed, resulting in a heavy workload for everyone else. There is a lack of leadership within the company as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would advise management to establish processes, and hire experienced professionals in management roles. Additional employees need to be hired to better distribute the workload as well.

Late paycheck, rude lead staff, unpaid training

    Pros

I have yet to be paid for an event I worked 5 weeks ago. The lead staff at the event didn't even bother to introduce himself or ask my name. At one point when we were backed up doing health screening, he blamed the staff and asked us why it was taking so long to do cholesterol screenings when the 4 other screeners and I were obviously working very hard. It was not our fault that he scheduled too many screenings at the same time and then blamed us for not being able to make magic happen. He also wore black jeans and a white thermal shirt, which is totally unprofessional.

    Cons

I have yet to be paid for an event I worked over a month ago. Poor management. They expect you to do 3+ hours of training that is required for the position without being paid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more professional lead staff.

    Pros

Understanding management, Salad Fridays, frequent walk breaks, and monthly fitness activities. Wonderful atmosphere and great group of people. Top notch staff who felt passionate about the mission of the company.

    Cons

Limited lunch options near the office, small and loud office space often made it difficult to get work done. Phone calls were virtually impossible to hear due to noisy desk mates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would be nice to offer flex work hours so employees can work from home or shift their hours around to maximize efficiency. Also, for a health and wellness company, everyone thought it was strange that there was no gym membership or subsidized wellness program for employees. Maybe in 2013!
