I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The opportunity to learn the finance industry and collaborate with partners from other lines of business. The ability to offer over 60+ lines of business to a customer.

    Cons

Limited PTO and work life balance can be minimal with call nights and added sales pressure. Depending on your market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider the true meaning of the vision and values instead of sales, sales, sales.

Wells Fargo is a great company to work for. If you work hard enough, there is so much opportunity to grow.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great benefits, great managers and superiors. I worked full time and was also a full time student. My managers were always accomodating and extremly flexible with my schedule when something came up. Especially when I had finals, midterms or even other interviews. There was opportunity for overtime (which I greatly took advantage of)

    Cons

Very sales and customer service oriented. Randomly selected customers will be surveyed on their experience. There is no way to know who it wil be . The sales quota must be met each quarter or there is possibilty of a performance review.

Nothing is positive about this job if you are a qualified, educated professional.

    Cons

Be prepared to be treated like a worthless child by managers who cany do your job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Most teams work together well

    Cons

The email that went viral is absolutely true. We aren't compensated enough for what we do. The expectation are unrealistic and the payoff isn't worth it. It can become very cutthroat. Pointless meetings and then you are fought with over drivetime compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

start over. Most of you seem to have forgotten where you can from

Former Employee - Personal Banker I in Dunwoody, GA

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I enjoyed the customer interaction, the standard hours, and helping people reach financial goals. Usually the tellers were very nice, and the customers and I built up a good relationship.

    Cons

Corporate sales structure is crushing, pay is very low, no customer loyalty, dead with customer complaints, wear a full suit everyday. Other personal bankers try to steal your accounts since that is how bonuses are earned. It is always a competition to try to get new business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is no way people would stay at Wells Fargo long term unless they really like sales. Unfortunately by the time you put in years enough to be a branch manager or higher, you are worn out. Compensation is laughable considering we had to wear suits. People think we look rich, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Former Employee - Lead Teller in Canton, GA

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good work- life balance, I worked some Saturdays but mostly Monday-Friday, paid training, good benefits and health plan.

    Cons

Branch sales goals are high and very hard to hit. I have seen employees to immoral things to reach the goal. Low pay, fight for your salary when you get hired, or you may find yourself wishing you had asked for more.
