    Pros

    The employee benefits are great.
The salaries are fair and the options to meet certain bonuses are excellent as well.

    Cons

The turn over for certain positions at branches is relatively fast. This leaves the customer base reluctant to continue business with the company or same branch.

Former Employee - Business Banking Specialist in Atlanta, GA

    I worked at Wells Fargo

    Pros

They give you information on job opportunities, expected salaries for those positions, and HR actually will respond to your submissions.

    Cons

-Before a job is posted, the candidate has already been chosen most of the time.
-If you are in retail banking, your only real way to move up is to be come a branch manager first, then you can move into other areas.
-If you aren't interested in branch management, or are not a good manager, you don't move up in the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actually promote the people that work with business customers to business positions (business banking, credit analyst, merchant services rep, payroll rep, etc.). Those positions do not require management experience, therefore you don't need to be a manager first. A business specialist is more qualified because they have actually been selling the products.
