Pros
I would say that over 85% of the people in the office are great. Just like in every work environment, there are always those few. The managers are wonderful (can only think of one that I thought was terrible, they handled that though) Overall, I still like my job and those that I work with. I will say that the amount of knowledge you gain is worth it. They encourage creativity and suggestions. They do listen to feedback, well, except for raises.
Cons
Every year the raise get smaller and smaller. I have felt recently, no matter how much extra I have done beyond my assigned work is usually unrewarded or recognized (not referring to thank you notes, talking money). News Flash, thank you notes do not pay the mortgage. There are always headlines of wonderful profits, strong company, then comes review time....Manager tells you, "you're great" and lists all the wonderful accomplishments. Them bam 1%, 1.5%, 2%. Even though you may already be aware that the board has capped raises at 1.5% or 2% you always hope that some sorry, unproductive person an aisle over would get .5% and you would see a little more, after all, you have done so much. It's not just Wells either, it's all over. Companies are wondering how little can they feed the horse before it dies.
Advice to Senior Management
The management is great, some are remarkable. My only gripe is raises. Every year I have swallowed all the sacrifices I have made, being as productive as I could, cut costs, even finding money for the bottom line, and tried streamlining any process I could. Never really amounted to much for me. I have kind of given up, gave all I could give, and will be moving on.
Pros
Opportunities for growth/advancements. Treat their employees well, and offer competitive wages.
Cons
Sometimes it can be difficult to implement change.
Advice to Senior Management
Remember to keep pushing career development!
Pros
One of the more stable banks out there.
Cons
Too conservative, will not get into complicated markets.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire international, their experiences may be valuable to you.
Pros
strictly 40 hour work weeks.
Cons
goals and expectations (i always exceed most of my goals.. but you have to be shady to get it done), pay (not compensated accordingly for goals), advancement options... there only seems to be one way to go.
Pros
The pay is very good, and if you are doing well you will be promoted fast
Cons
though i moved up in the company very fast it is very political. But they let my age get in the way of my promotions
Advice to Senior Management
Do not let your good employees slip by. You lost a lot of good ones while i was there.
Pros
In the immediate community there is alot of solid programs to help out lower to middle base households.
Cons
Need to utilize more recognition and hands on learning from managers. Lack of knowledge from within seems to plague the stores and because of this there is a lack of engagement from the middle management to the team members.
Pros
They provide good training for your position
The company looks good on your resume
The job provides good experience for future careers
Cons
They don't care about you, just your sales
Management doesn't know how to manage. They just micro-manage all day.
Pay is horrible and they expect a lot out of you
Huge sales goals with horrible incentives
Advice to Senior Management
Start listening to your employees and actually care about helping your customers as opposed to looking at them and thinking, "what can we sell them today?".
Pros
Experience and knowledge learned is valuable. Vacation time after one month of employment is the best.
Cons
Senior management is not in touch with reality of day to day operation. Sales pressure is too much and causing me to leave a 10 year career with the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Be in our stores more. Be personable. Stop asking us to do 24 hours of work in a 10 hour day.
Pros
Great benefits package
Most interviews are Addler based so preparing is easy as pie. Just look up the questions on google.
Cons
During my tenure at the company I was witness to TONS of unethical behavior by management and by employees(mostly under pressure from managers).
The way the business is run rarely agrees with its Mission Statement.
Pros
professional environment, decent pay, nice clients.
Cons
very stressed sales goals, promote corny/ pushy sales tactics
Advice to Senior Management
set sales goals to match the branch traffic.
