Pros
The amount of PTO, regular paycheck, many retail locations so one usually doesn't have to commute too far, good as a part-time college job (tellers)
Cons
Disconnect between the middle management and employees. The management encourages unethical sales practices, such as pushing second or third checking account for the customers, just to meet their sales numbers.
Advice to Senior Management
Get realistic and take customer complaints seriously about too many sales phone calls at home and too much selling in the branch every time the customer comes in for a simple transaction.
Pros
Great training and great benefits.
Cons
Bonuses are not paid monthly, but quarterly.
Advice to Senior Management
Empower your culture towards customer service more than hard sales.
Pros
Nice work enviroment. Pleasant people to have worked with. Good boss and employees sometimes interchanging with there being good customers too.
Cons
Little off time. Very busy must of the day but some days are not too bad as others but still ok.
Advice to Senior Management
Give more time off and hire more people so we do not have to work as much. Great place to work though
Pros
The best reasons why i work for Wells Fargo is because able to go back to school bank hours 9-6 the pay is alright. The benefits and retirement is fair and get to learn about financing.
Cons
The downside of working with Wells Fargo as a banker is the retail job and must always work weekends all the time.
Advice to Senior Management
The management must evaluate the employees and treat employees fair when it comes to promotions instead of picking the favorites.
Pros

Cons
too much sales pressure every day
Advice to Senior Management
more encouragement
Pros
Lots of Sales Experience
Good Customer Service Training
Benefits are good

Lots of Turnover within the Organization
Very Difficult to build long term business
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your business bankers with more respect and give them more access to quality partners who provide 3rd party services.
Pros
Wells Fargo is a large and stable bank. The sales goals are rigorous and you really have to be either strategic and hardworking in order to achieve and surpass your highest goals. Benefits are great as well.
Cons
Compensation is not in alignment with achievement. I think they could reward their hardworking achievers with better bonuses and incentives.
Advice to Senior Management
Wells Fargo overall is a good bank to work for. You definitely learn some great customer service skills and sales techniques. I think it would be of help to make sure to focus a little more on each individual employee rather than track him/her as another number.
Pros
- Work/Life Balance
- Benefits
- Diversity
Cons
- Merger integration difficult on many
- Too bureaucratic
- 80 business lines, 80 heads of business
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
Good Benefits. Diverse workforce. Great atmosphere in regards to co-worker interaction.
Cons
Sales goals are unrealistic, but you're expected to meet them leading to some unethical practices. Promotions based solely on sales.
Advice to Senior Management
Upper management needs to needs to be more in touch with the needs/concerns of employees
Pros
The company is committed to making sure that employees are well trained and highly informed. Employees have access to a multitude of resources in order to make well thought out decisions that both affect their performance and growth.
Cons
I think the organization can do more to pool from internal resources for new job opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management
There is a strong culture of teamwork, self sufficiency and pride among Wells Fargo employees. As a prospective manager my adivce to you would be to never stop believing in your team and supporting their attempts to challenge themselves and grow.
