I have been working at Wells Fargo

    Pros

Good benefits, great PTO, you start off with 18 days a year, 23 after 3 years, 28 after 10 years

    Cons

Lots of sales goals, be able to have aggressive goals set

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you recognize middle management. The ones who directly run the teams don't always get the credit they deserve.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great way to get into the financial industry

    Cons

    Poor leadership, inconsistency, very unethical,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Banks are meant to help people succeed financially. If that is what you preach, do it! Employees make pennies on the dollar from the fees they charge to customers and it's not worth it.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Once you're in, the job is generally stable. There is a low turnover rate and people generally stay for a couple years. The pay is good, benefits are great. The company tries to increase employee morale through rallies, public recognition, certificates and awards, etc. Scheduling is organized. You get holidays and Sundays off and receive PTO. They prefer to promote from within, but promotions typically only come to those that are consistently good with sales.

    Cons

You NEED to love sales to work here. Wells Fargo will go to all lengths to get sales -- they say they're ethical but they are not. The sales goals are extremely high, to the point where it becomes unattainable. Everyone - including the branch manager at my store - lies to the customers, opens accounts over the phone, or resorts to other unethical means to reach the goals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sales goals are WAY too high! When bankers and tellers - even the managers - are resorting to unethical means to make their quotas, there's a problem.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Learned a lot about how daily transactions were processed and advanced my customer service skills

    Cons

Too much is expected from you for only 10 dollars an hour. Worked there for 2 years and never got offered to advance. 10 cents promotion a year was a joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should care more about good customer service and not as much about sales that a lot of times end up hurting the customer when it's something they don't need.
