Current Employee - Diverse Segments Intern in Las Vegas, NV

I have been working at Wells Fargo as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Participated in a summer internship in the correspondent lending department of WFHM. They flew us out to Dallas, TX for a week with a couple hundred interns throughout the country, and again to Des Moines for our presentation of our strategic project for the summer. The program seemed to be well-structured and I had some good take-aways about the channel and how the mortgage process works.

    Cons

Internships are what they are. No guaranteed job after the program, and in our case, they weren't hiring because of uncertainty revolving around implementation of Dodd/Frank.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you're selecting leads that want to help the interns through the summer. Thankfully our supervisors were all pretty awesome and the atmosphere in general was very friendly and accommodating.
