    Cons

you have to work a ton of hours to build your book from scratch. Your salary diminishes over time until you are purely commission

    Advice to Management

give them time to build their book before cutting off the salary. Provides some leads to help build a book.

    Pros

    Decent pay and benefits
Big name to put on your resume

    Cons

    Terrible atmosphere
    Micro management
    Limited opportunities for career growth
    High sales pressure
Poor sales quality and dishonesty is common
    Cutthroat mentality

    Advice to Management

Micromanagement and sales pressure drove me to leave the company. I waited a few months after my resignation to submit this review to let everything in my mind settle. Coaching by positive reinforcement as opposed to using fear, bullying, threatening, and demeaning employees at all levels would increase retention and morale. I would love to see Wells Fargo live up to its vision and values, but from my experience it has a Ways to go.

    Pros

Wells Fargo pays most of it's employees really well. The work is rewarding as a loan officer. Some of my co-workers were wonderful people and good friends.

    Cons

For me, the biggest con was my management. My direct manager was demanding, and tried to scare me into selling product everyday. Sadly, I was happiest when she was not in the office; which happened way too often. Also, my regional manager was totally unethical in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and manage them how they need and want to be managed. Do a better job of empowering your employees to reach the big, bad, corporate's expectations of each employee.

    Pros

    High energy, great managent, suppprt

    Cons

The expected sales referral rate, stressful

    Advice to Management

Stop with the referrals, if the agent cares about the customer rather than sales based, the customers will love banking at Wells Fargo. Lots of complaints from customers .

    Pros

If you want to get a first job and want to get ulcers to make your life more interesting and surround yourself by self-center individuals and clueless managers then this is the place for you. To be fair, they do provide tuition reimbursement and other good benefits.

    Cons

Sales pressures are immense. Poor vision and values, total disregard of the actual needs of the customer. High turnover rates at the local branches. Highly political and unethical. I personally witnessed unauthorized credit applications bankers did to make their quotas and were protected by managers who also needed those numbers, I saw bankers open bank accounts for fake customers or customers who had even left the country years ago. If you do what is actually right for the customer you need to find a new job.

    Advice to Management

Focus in customer service more and less about inflating your books with unnecessary product customers just don't need or want. Promote to management somehow intelligent individuals that can embrace a culture that is more than "sell or get fired."
