    I worked at Wendy's full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Working within a fast-food chain or franchise making only minimum wage for income isn't quite the way to expect to enjoy life at no expense and no financial worries.

    Cons

The cons of being employed at Wendy's were nothing to complain about unless you're like me and have a HUGE concern for your skin.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advise to the management team operating the Wendy's location in Jackson, OH in which I was employed would be to not change a thing!

    I worked at Wendy's

    Pros

Compensation was ok (on the high end) for the field. Most people (non-management) were nice to be around. Vacation time was nice, although it was a chore to be approved.

    Cons

Company seems to be going down the hole. Mid to large scale layoffs twice in 4 years, getting rid of some with 20+ years experience to keep on those with none. Management seems to worry more about sales numbers than people. They also tend to not promote based on merit, but based on friendship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's not all about sales! You have to consider the people working for you to really thrive as an employer. Stop giving grief for those who take sick days and pressuring those who are actually sick to come in. Also stop promoting friends who don't understand the job over those who are more skilled and deserving.

    I worked at Wendy's

    Pros

The best part was the customer interaction. You have the opportunity to brighten their day.

    Cons

You sometimes encounter irate customers. Everybody has bad days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would just suggest that the upper management be more involved with the crew members of stores, not just the GM and DM.
