Pros
the motivation of the front-line employees, interacting with the customer, quick advancement, strong relationships between management.
Cons
Biased and unfair nature of treating employees, Long shifts, an occasional unruly customer and unreliable work force.
Advice to Senior Management
Love the passion and drive of all upper-management, but realize that people are not machines and need to be treated fairly. Recognize and develop great leaders instead of trying to change them.
Pros
Nice management
Very flexible work schedule
safe working environment
raises every six months
learn a lot of multi tasking at work
Cons
management is not strict enough
too relaxed
raises are very miniscule 5-15 cents every six months
not too much room for advancement
Advice to Senior Management
be more strict with employees
watch for thiefs
make sure the sandwhich makers are making sandwiches accurately
make sure the grill guy isnt giving burnt meat
Pros
The ability to grow into a management position through the ranks. With a little initiative, hard work, and dependability anyone has the opportunity to develop thier professional careers within the organization--without a college education.
Cons
I currently work in a franchisee organization and though the payscale is comparable to that of my peers in other quick-service restaurants thier isn't a lot of growth above the GM position.
Pros
The food is great.
It's fast paced. (Depends on location)
There's room for growth, no one is considered "a regular", everyone helps out in doing certain jobs.
Cons
The bathrooms are the responsibility of the cashiers and they can get really nasty.
Decking the floor ! Which is cleaning the tiles with a scrub brush but between each tile, getting the dirt out.
Advice to Senior Management
Please coach your employees, let them know they're doing well and areas they can work on. Lead us ! Be an example, understand you are looked up to.
Pros
I really like the people I work with - the company feels like a family. I've never had a more close-knit group of people to work with, and the pay and benefits are excellent. Managers are involved and really listen to employees.
Cons
Unfortunately, the family is subject to turmoil - see the recent decision to move all Atlanta Support Center employees to Dublin, OH, or offer severance. And this only a year and a half after they moved everyone to Atlanta. Admittedly, the severance packages are fair, but it is stressful.
Pros
stability of the company is a plus
Cons
lack of recognition and respect is a downfall
Advice to Senior Management
respect the talent
Pros
pays the bills, 5 weeks paid vacation, like a challenge, i really just like managing a business,
Cons
no extra money, live paycheck to paycheck, almost never get to take a vacation other than maybe a weekend away once in awhile, frustrating, very demanding, stressful, very expencive insurance that goes up dramatically every year while salary barely moves,
Advice to Senior Management
GM's should be paid a lot more considering the stress, the time put into the job and the poor quality of subordinate managers allowed to stay rather than fire or retrain they just rotate from store to store. Making it difficult for GM's to hold them accountable instead they feel they can just go to the DM & be transferred
Pros
Good atmosphere as far as fast food places go.
Cons
Customers give you very little respect.
Advice to Senior Management
More training would be helpful.
Pros
food, and you can talk to people
Cons
stress, busy, employees don't enjoy it, pays too low for how much work is actually done, which is why no one cares about the job.
Advice to Senior Management
make it less stressfull and be happier like you actually like your job.
Pros
It's easy to balance your life between work and you can grow with this company into management if you are willing to and give your job 100 percent. Just make sure u come to work on time and be dedicated to your job.
Cons
It's a lot of standing on your feet and could cause problems in the future so wear very supportive shoes.
Advice to Senior Management
The management team is very supportive even if u decide to go to school for something else they will work with your schedule.
