    Pros

Working with the GMs is great. If you are lucky enough to be an hourly employee (not shift leader), you will have a great time. My pay was great for the experience I had. Owners are approachable when present. They will hire anyone for any level (except GM). Owners pay for more education as it relates to Wendys (Wendys' sponsored training classes, ServSafe).

    Cons

No advancement, owners and district manager are not on same level (right hand does not know what left hand is doing). Fear the days/time that the owners and/or DM arrives, they can say nothing positive, DM rules with an "iron fist". Write-ups are given without much investigation. There is no consistency between stores, each store has its own set of rules- like they are run by completely different entities. A 1% raise was useless ($9 a month, really, are you serious?!) . As a salaried manager, you are forced to work in 1 of 3 stores, without preference, and even then youa re not guaranteed to work there more than a week at a time. High management turn-over rate, >200% turnover rate for hourly employees (at least 2 new employees per week).

    Advice to Management

Ease off and let the manager who work in the store run the store. If you are not in the store more than 2x a month, don't try to run it the 2x that you are in it. Lead by example, do not use your "I have 20+ years experience" and expect employees to blindly follow.

    Pros

As management you get free food, although after 3 years, it gets old fast and rather disgusting.

    Cons

Bad management structure, bad communication with other management. District Manager's hound General Managers to push number reguardless of how staffed you are. They assume every store is running the way it should be and don't address or take care of problems. Lousy benefits. Can get stuck with a lousy schedule, which can be very inconsistent. If you have a personal life, you will lose it after working fast food management.

    Advice to Management

Stop caring about yourself and start caring about the crew that works for you and you may just get on the right track.

    Pros

This job looks good on a resume and that will help you find a better paying restaurant manager job. You also can eat for free.

    Cons

Promotions above this level are non-existant. Labor cuts have forced the management team to work a crew position while managing the restaurant. Subsequently, this has hurt customer service, sales, and cleanliness of the stores.

    Advice to Management

Spend money to make money. You cannot squeeze blood from a turnip. Profitability and customers have been lost to save only a few pennies.

    Pros

I could let management know when I wasn't available to work.

    Cons

Pay was minimal, work environment was unpleasant: scrubbing toilets, being burned from hot oil, lack of respect in general.

    Pros

It's a good first job but that's it. There is no really good reason I see to come work for Wendy's at least not any that are owned by the man that owns the ones in Slidell, La.

    Cons

They do not pay enough. They take advantage of you. They do not care about management or employees. They lie and accuse you of things you did not do and will screw you over in the end.

    Advice to Management

Try and pay more attention to employees and management and not worry so much about your money. To make the customers happy you need to first make your workers happy!

    Pros

The pay isn't that great but at least they make sure your getting some hours. They try and take your schedule into consideration but they always "really need you".

    Cons

They never give you your schedule on time, getting the manager to listen to you is a miracle and don't even think about getting out of there at your scheduled time. they keep you because they always "really need you".

    Advice to Management

Take some time to listen to you employees. Yes, this is FAST FOOD, but your forgetting who keeps your company running. the CASHIERS are the ones who can make or break a customers visit!

    Pros

It's a job. Promotion from within. You get the experience you need to further your career at a different company for a higher position and pay.

    Cons

Everyone is friends. Too many money problems (within the management). poor quality establishments. Not for a family oriented person.( long days long nights)

    Advice to Management

Something has got to give! We are taught not to fratenize with the employees yet all they see is the managers all hanging out and everyone is each others childs god parents. THIS may be why the money can't ever add up right. All I can say is "better choices".

    Pros

You become close with the other employees, easy process to getting hired, very good training via a 6 week course.

    Cons

Upper store management does not work well with others, the company as a whole hires people that don't deserve jobs and that are very very lazy and ghetto!!!

    Advice to Management

Communication is a big thing needed in this field of work. Screen more in the interview process making sure the applicant is suitable to work.
