    Pros

Excellent management and career opportunities if initiative is displayed. Qualifications are a definite plus in terms of promotion, as are people skills.

    Cons

The hours are a challenge to family life at times but I found management quite considerate, especially if compassionate circumstances arose. Salaries are very modest and the focus on company profit sometimes a bit over the top.

    Advice to Management

Keep recognising and rewarding talent. The job can get mundane and praise goes a long way.

    Pros

Senior managers generally care for staff.
Promotional opportunities available if the talent is present.
Takes a positive attitude to staff development.

    Cons

Only that salaries need better consideration. Some senior manager earn huge amounts and the balance could be fairer.
