I have been working at West Coast Dental

    Pros

Close to me... nothing much to say

    Cons

Management does not take hiring staff important, they hire anyone who will accept less money, worry about production more than they value there employees, overwork and disrespect people under them. Days off change last minute, they do not follow breaks or even lunches. Always take lunch 2 hours before the day ends. Rather work for Western Dental who cares a bit more for there employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Read up on being a better employer. Make people want to be apart of your company! And follow up on California labor regulations! 2 paid breaks 1 hour unpaid lunch per 8 hour shift!!!

I have been working at West Coast Dental full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company is small enough to be able to provide lots of learning opportunity for those who seek it.

    Cons

Lack of organization, lack of operational structure, lack of rational leadership, lack of strategy...Really seems like the decisions are all made out of impulse with no real logical thought process to support them. The company culture is that of finger pointing, blame, and making employees feel disposable and taken for granted. You really get the feeling like the company wouldn't think twice to rip you off. They don't value employee's loyalty or hard work. It's just a bad feeling all around. This culture was created by the owners and carried on by the top level executives. Not a fulfilling or happy place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make rational decisions, listen to feedback, admit when you're wrong or don't know, and turn the culture around by appreciating employees. Also, be more diligent in your hiring process.
