I have been working at West Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are good and a there is a ton of PTO and healthcare options. If you work hard enough your hard work gets noticed and more opportunities are provided to you.

    Cons

If you work hard enough more opportunities and responsibilities are given to you but the pay is never equivalent to the responsibilities. Typical company - pay you only enough for what you are replaceable for.

    Pros

The only pro to working here is that they hire great people and pay well...but sometimes a good paycheck just isnt enough

    Cons

There doesnt seem to be any type of focus and the direction changes monthly. It is highly political and when something bad happens they are always looking for someone to blame instead of coming together to solve the problem.I cant believe that I lasted as many years as I did in this hostile environment.

I have been working at West Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job is always changing. In less than 2 years I have taken on 6 different job roles including the programmer analyst job. It is great for showing off your experiences to the next company you work for.

    Cons

You never know when you will be working or for how long. Work is based on business need. The longer that you are there the more the business needs you.

  11. ok company, shifting directions, not great benefits

I worked at West Corporation full-time

    Pros

Pretty standard office positions - coworkers and supervisor were friendly, and the company is somewhat shifting in their mission from telco to healthcare which is interesting.

    Cons

Benefits are below average, with less than a week of vacation hours until you've worked at least a year, and about half of the federal holidays are work days. Health benefits are also withheld from the employee for the first 2-3 months of employment, retirement benefits are not that great (50% matching of 401K contribution after 1 year of employment), and you get no paid sick leave, even as a full-time employee.

    Advice to Management

Have benefits policies more in line with the average, rather then being below-average, to retain quality employees.
