    Pros

    A few dedicated, talented counselors.

    Cons

Poor benefits. Upper management is extremely unprofessional and accept no accountability for how poorly the program is run. Make you work hard, not smart. Directives make no sense. Idea are not welcomed. Never address low employee morale and high turn over. No support. Lots of favoritism. Upward mobility is based on who you know and not skill, ability and knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth. Listen to your staff!

    Pros

None that I can think of at this time. I left as soon as I could.

    Cons

Project based, no paid parking after telling I would in interview, no freedom, unethical, poor management, wasteful money.

    Pros

The clients are the only pro of working for this gross company. But they are mistreated.

    Cons

Unprofessional, stupid, low class employees. Cliques. Mistreatment of clients and they allow workplace violence.

    Pros

Coworkers love what they do and know how important it is.

    Cons

Terrible management. They do not pay overtime, untrained managers, favortism rules.

    Advice to Management

It comes from senior management down. Senior management looks the other way and does not care that the line managers treat their employees poorly.

    Pros

If you enjoy helping people in need and want to get paid for it, this is the place for you. Westcare is one of the very few companies in Nevada that make a positive impact on the community where it needs it most.

    Cons

It's never a glamorous job, but helping people in need is the greatest reward.

    Advice to Management

None. They take care of their employees as well as the community they serve.

    Pros

Clients willing to better themselves make it worth while, Paid sick and vacation days, consistent hours, weekends off

    Cons

Insurance is not that great and expensive, co-workers personalities can be intense, constant gossip, inconsistent work environment - you move around a lot

    Advice to Management

Pick a facility for each program and keep it consistent, not just for the employees but for the families in residential who need that routine and familiarity. Better food for residential treatment, I have tried it and it is not healthy for anyone.

    Pros

I loved working with the inmates. They were the reason I went to work for Westcare. I believed in the mission. I belleved in the work I was doing and felt I could make a difference.

    Cons

mangement staff is poor. They don't care about direct care staff. Pay is terrible. Benefits are terrible. Most staff are more corrupt than the inmates we are working with.

    Advice to Management

Clean house!! Get rid of your management and bring in some caring, honest, respectful people.

    Pros

The mission and purpose of this organization is why I chose to work their but too bad management does not follow mission

    Cons

Upper management has no regard for staff and pay is way below national average, yet when you see how much top executives are getting paid you see they are more concerned about their wealth than the care of services or value of employees.

    Advice to Management

    Time to reorganize
