Advice to Senior Management
i feel mamagement is doing a good good on keeping this company going as good as it is considering I just came from a company doing the same line of work who was losing work more and more as each month past, parking drivers one day every othrer week because there wasn't enough work.. Keep up the Good work Mamagement !!!!
Pros
There are many opportunities to learn, to teach, to encourage, to interact with and be part of a growing team.
Cons
There is no trust or no need to trust, there is only Policy. Policy. Policy. Policy. Policy. Policy. Policy. Policy.
Advice to Senior Management
Sometimes, Store Managers do know best, how else do you think we got this far? Let us Manage our stores.
Pros
very autonomous, expect little to no supervision or contact with your management unless something goes wrong. This is good because you can run your store as you see fit, within corporate guidelines of course.
Cons
no feedback, poor compensation, no communication, lack of work/life balance. Because of the lack of communication and supervision, you don't really get noticed if you are doing a good job and have little growth opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management
Levels of management are too far apart, store managers rarely have contact with district managers, and next to never with operations managers. Upper management does not have a realistic view of operations on a day to day basis.
Pros
Western is only a good place to work if you have no other options and need to have an income to pay the bills
Cons
Management has no respect for the people actually working and running the refinery. Yorktown was a great place to work, but Western has destroyed it.
Advice to Senior Management
Realize that the employees are your greatest asset and treat them as so.
