    Pros

Beautiful location- Park City Friendly coworkers Discounted travel perks That is about it for the pros

    Cons

Poor Management: no leadership skills amongst ant of the managers. Never have support or guidance on anything. Very Little to No Communication:Must be able to do everything on the fly and not let this phase you. Nobody is on the same page between sales and support team from the operations side of the resort. Dirty Politics: managers are out for themselves and yell at sales reps but are never there to support them and try to turn people against other coworkers for their benefits. Also, sleeping with employees and then reprimanding other employees for favoritism but not punishing who they are sleeping with when they no call, no show and refuse tours. No career potential, even if you work super hard. No appreciation for hard workers, you actually seem to get punished and they look for reasons why you shouldn't be promoted and make you feel like crap. No set training (Park City location) for sales support team: very frustrating when you first start to have to learn everything on your own and be expected to just know everything War between sales and marketing every day. VERY UNDERPAID for sales reps and sales support. Only three sales reps actually make good money. The rest of the sales reps live off a draw ($1000/mo net) but they take your draw out of your sales so you make no money and they make money off of you.

    Advice to Management

Create a training program that makes your Team Members excited to work at Westgate and knowledgeable so they everyday work day is easier and things run smoother. Be more open to Team Members ideas because they work there every day and have great ideas on improvements and want to work there, until they get burnt out from all the nonsense. Have team building activites for sales and marketing. Try to get more involved with the hotel operations side and sales. Sales is hated outcast at the resort and hardly recognized for any hard work.. only once a month shared team member of the month at Towne Hall. Should be able to be involved in the extra training program, especially for people that want to have a career at Westgate.. not punished for being in the Sales Department. Take away the draw for the sales reps and you will see less turnover and more sales because people will be willing to work every

    Pros

That they go out of business would be Karma, but that would further hurt all the people that got lied to into buying WG!!

    Cons

You will never be able to sleep at night!

    Advice to Management

    Stop the misrepresentation!!

    Pros

Convenient location, employee covered parking, ski passes (sometimes), competitive pay.

    Cons

Corporate Management has no idea what's happening on the local level. Owner of company sends emails to all employees with his political views, including who you should vote for during election season. Health insurance premium is more expensive than I have ever paid elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Keep your political opinions to yourself. Trust your local GM's and managers.
