    Pros

There is no good reason anyone should put up with west gates drama.

    Cons

Company does not follow its own policies and never complies with federal and Florida state laws. They tell you something is being done about the issue and then sit on their behinds doing absolutely nothing until you have to hire an attorney to do their jobs for them since they are too lazy to do the job right and fix problems in a timely manner. a timely manner in Florida is 24 to 48 hours, not 7 days, not 5 weeks, not 3 months. in the real workplace, that should never happen. also if your pay gets messed up they refuse to actually fix the problem at the cocoa beach pier. so DO NOT WORK FOR THEM AT THE COCOA BEACH PIER in Florida. They'll sit on their lazy behinds rather than helping their employees. Employees at all levels are suppose to act as members of one team, not separated so much that it is everyone for themselves. they have very poor training standards as well. Don't bother applying to here unless you want your income and home life messed with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do your job correctly the first time. if your employees don't do it right, why are you still keeping them hired? there should also be training manuals in every store for every employee to read and follow to the T. it's not difficult.

I have been working at Westgate Resorts full-time

    Pros

Depending on the department you always have your 40 hrs and 2 consecutive days off which never change unless it is needed. I have a steady schedule and an amazing management team. They are fair with you and always try to help you out if you have a situation. Overall If you focus on your job and do things right you will never have a problem. I feel that job security wise, you will fire yourself, if you are a good worker they will want to keep you.

    Cons

Salaries could be better, high seasons are very stressful but I guess that is in every hospitality business. Health insurance is available but extremely expensive! Benefits could be better, but still I dont find any major cons to the resort. I feel sometimes there is not enough personnel for the amount of work during high season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work, just don't forget where you came from. Many of us do care about the resort and would like to see it grow just as you. If the company grows, we can grow within it.

    Pros

Nice job if you enjoy working outdoors, gorgeous mountain views including the resort's property to show owners. 100% freedom to manage your time/sales appointments on scheduled days. Get paid 1/2 commission per deal next day.

    Cons

Running up and down large mountain in rickety golf carts in all 4 seasons. They will work you to death, on holidays, min 6 days, even nights, will ask for 7 days. Don't take out taxes. NO benefits! Company wants a money maker, not an individual.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

GROW UP, LEAVE. Regional Management, pay closer attention to what Really goes on, ask questions of employees working All levels, not just management.
