    Pros

*Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance is very reasonable (in a previous position prior to WHG, I was paying close to $400/month @$10/hr. Working for WHG I pay about $120/month for all three above-which is comparable to corporate Marriott pricing-not any franchises).

    * 401K Matching

*Room discounts- based on availability of course

*Great Staff that are willing to go in the Trenches

    *Caring and Active GM

*GM cares about what is said on the Employee
Opinion Surveys and strives to be the best GM

    *Union

*Straight to the point type of Management

    *Accountability

    *Free Lunch (property specific)

*All Managers doors are always open

    Cons

Sometimes communication is an issue. Although, everyone works together to get the issue(s) resolved quickly. Sometimes there are other employees who are rude and disrespectful to everyone.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

None really, very bad place to work so much un necessary work they as you to do just to make the hotel look in great standing but at then end of it all it is a roach motel.

    Cons

Really messed up properties, horrible corporate staff. Larege turn over rate. So much Favoritism and BS. This could be a better company but it is intrusted by many high level idiots who do not care for the company's interest but only theirs, they should sell quick before the truth hits.

    Advice to Management

Hire people with experience, education, and qualifications. Dont let your idiots hire out of favoritism.

    Pros

Consider the proficiency and work experience when hiring an individual. They look for excellent talent and are not opposed to paying for it.

    Cons

Smaller staff makes this a much more hands on position than other brands and as a result much more accountability is put on the senior leadership to ensure success. You cannot delegate as much. Also, there are limits to budgets much more at this smaller organization than many others in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Positive reinforcement, additional training for those needing it including but not limited to traveling to other locations to see how established processes should be in place and utilized daily.

  8. Horrible place to work.

    Pros

Decent insurance. I wish I could say more positive about them but unfortunately they didn't earn that much praise.

    Cons

The corporation does not care about their employees nor the guests and they wear it like a badge of honor. Definitely not the company to learn the workings of the hospitality industry.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff without prejudice. There is a reason your turnover is so high as a corporation. You need to figure it out before you drop even lower on approval ratings. Or prove you don't care and stay the course.
