Pros
It's easy as could be once you learnt the technique to roll a pretzel. No deep-fryers.
Cons
Embarrassing work. You stand there looking like a fool making pretzels all day in your stupid visor. Plus the name is embarrassing to say, why does it have to rhyme? The air is surprisingly oily despite the no deep-fryer thing due to all the melted butter steaming away.
Advice to Senior Management
Lose the strict uniform requirements, no one needs you to have a nametag, customers don't refer to you by name.
Pros
it was a relatively easy job
nice coworkers
Cons
low pay
can be tiring
wish we could actually eat what we made
Advice to Senior Management
meh
Pros
The owner was very considerate of you needing time off and they were willing to work with your schedule if you had another job. They had great rules as long as they were followed. They had good promotions and the food was wonderful.
Cons
They had no compensation package no insurance and you could not get a raise at all. The owners decided to sell the store and never told any of the employees so that left us all without jobs. A lot of us depended on that job for our very survival. Food was not ordered properly, you could not get assistance with anything that you needed help with. The management was horrible. She was a complete bully and liked to curse out her employees and it took years to finally get rid of her. Other than that it was not a bad place to work.
Advice to Senior Management
Better compensation packages and better raises. Lead without being mean about it. Everyone on a team is important so recognize the whole team not just the management or just the owners. Make sure your employees can come to you and you listen and respond to all complaints.
Pros
Easy job, except during Christmas.
Cons
Can be a pain on extremely busy days.
Advice to Senior Management
I would like to have been more involved in knowing about profits and expenses. For example: what food makes the most profit for each unit sold.
