    Negative Outlook

I worked at Wheel Works full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They're not shy about promoting. Great shop environment. Part of Firestone Complete Auto Care, so you get the small local shop feel and loyal customer base with a huge national supply chain.

    Cons

Store managers are not given the ability to hire, promote, give raises, etc. Everything is done through the District Managers, who rarely have any first hand experience with how the shop is doing, often only physically stopping by once every 2 month or so. The system combines the worst aspects of micromanagement with off sight, unhelpful management. It would often take me 3 or 4 days to even get ahold of my DM even for a simple question.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to hold the store management team responsible for store performance, allow them to actually make decisions regarded store management.
