    Pros

Being able to help all walks of life and know they can come to a non judgmental environment.

    Cons

No one knew how to communicate as far as management high turnover rate for providers in a year.. The office had 8, no consistence. No plan for coverage. No raises, grant funded driven, lack of training. The EHR was not user friendly no proper training.

    Advice to Management

Learn to be more "boots in the ground" know what your staff is doing on a day to day basis. Not just stay in the office behind closed doors. Communicate to the whole office. Help employees with issues or concerns. Don't let them figure it out have them make a mistake and then try to dissolute an employee for somthing not being clearified.

    Pros

lots of vacation time, 3 weeks during year one, 4 weeks during year two. plenty of training

    Cons

in some areas - no ability to advance. work is grant drive- once the grant runs out you switch your focus or lose your job. They don't hire the best people for the job they just move them around.

They are trying to stay on top of the new trends in behavioral health and primary care but they have no knowledge of health care.

Up until July there was no ability to earn a raise no matter how hard you work. They will not give a market analysis to employees just managers. It's becoming to top heavy with managers

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more. don't rely on grants to guide your work

    Pros

Being part of a team of people dedicated to improving the lives of clients, students and the communities we live in.
    Good health and retirement benefits.

    Cons

Very lean, and resource constrained organization.
Gov't program funding makes it very difficult to be equitable and consistent.
Difficult work, staffing and retention risks, potential burn out.

    Advice to Management

Clinical and direct care work is important and is the 'true' work of the clinic, but lack of focus on infrastructure, development and equitable practices will leave employees feeling overwhelmed and unsupported.
