If you have a spouse, you may wish to make sure she/he finds a job in the area before accepting a position. There are few other companies in the area.

They are a very accepting company that takes time to train it's employees so they can progress in the company.

At times the feedback given was out of place. The projects given were not of great calibur in order to prove talents or improve competencies.

Large Matrix Organization is difficult to finalize decisions in a fast manner.
Location is a bit remote and could be challenging in the winter.
Difficult to recruit talent to the area.

- Excellent company culture, everybody seems very happy to be working there
- Pride in what you do
- Great people working there and decent communication between departments

- very lean structure so there's not much room to grow unless you move to the US
- although most people are great, there are bad apples - like any other company

There are things out there with a proven track record, you don't need to reinvent the wheel but you can invest and purchase knowledge externally

- Strong focus on outsourcing of knowledge positions creates knowledge gaps

- "Cut the fat" by removing poor performers... not outsourcing whole departments
- Embrace experimentation and change
- Make decisions quickly... own the decision... consensus is not always required.

Great work/life balance, challenging work requiring networking with many different partners and business functions, benefits and salary are competitive, encouragement to pursue activities outside of work (e.g., community service or training).

Limited promotability, completing tasks requires persisting through lots of "red tape" and gaining consensus, unstructured training and development, you are only given feedback at performance evaluation and not before

Constant leadership changes made it difficult to fully follow through with strategies. Direction kept changing.
Middle of nowhere in Michigan. Chicago isn't that close, 2 hours to get to a major airport.
