A company with full of opportunities........

    Team Leader (Former Employee)
    Heathrow, England (UK)

ProsA great company with friendly working environment.....great opportunities for progression in short span.....timely training for staffs of all levels......great hierarchy system means more opportunities.....the best I like is the INCENTIVE after hitting targets every periods.

ConsEven though audits are for good and is a must.....some times create pressure on all levels for a quite long period till audit actually happens. Also a department is being judged for the rest of the year just based on the audit of one day...which can be good or bad based on the mood of the employer that faces the auditor....

Advice to Senior ManagementThe management right from the cluster manager to site manager is good .....the one- to -ones at individual sites need to be made more effective for the overall goodness of the site .....keep doing good....All the Best.

    Great company with great people

    Regional Operations Manager (Former Employee)
    Dunstable, England (UK)

ProsUpper quartile pay scales with very good overall packages. Rapid progression opportunities available as well as opportunities to gain experience in more than core role.

ConsVery high pressure to deliver unrealistic targets at times and some very dubious promotion decisions made on occasion. Progression not always based on merit but overall, nothing more than you would find in any other large organisation

    Great place to work...

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFriendly people, relaxed and informal working environment, great benefits package with competitive bonus and Sharesave schemes. Great variety of brands to work with and progression across the company is actively encouraged

ConsLocation of Head Office is difficult to reach by public transport and being in the middle of an industrial estate means it is not easy to get to shops etc at lunchtime

    Advice to Senior ManagementContinue innovating

Fantastic place to work (or it was when I was there). Really caring culture, friendly people and good work ethic.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe people are salt of the earth, the location is easy to get to, the work is interesting and the money so so...

ConsSenior management a bit clueless, in the main its not cutting edge.

Advice to Senior ManagementLook at your staff (past & present) and look at some of the choices you've made. With hindsight - were they the right choices? Think hard!

    Barista whitbread

    Barista (Current Employee)
    Glasgow, Scotland (UK)

ProsSeen many people progress through the company internally.

ConsManagement sometimes lacking in supporting a bar team.

Advice to Senior ManagementEquality with shifts. All staff should be rotated around the Rota; instead of bar staff given consistently longer shifts with less tips.

    rubbish. cheap pay

    Kitchen Manager (Former Employee)
    Christchurch, England (UK)

Prosalways available for work, team work, lots of part time work, friendly, it was great team work with 20 odd years ago with fresh food with less microwave

Consnot enough promotions, low pay, far too many youngters rather than older teams, too many paperwork which course less on customers interactions. far too many microwave food now compare to 20 years ago.

Advice to Senior Managementout fronts teams get good tips and bonus money when customers gets good feedback. but kitchens team gets nothing considering they are the one who actually cooks food! all out front team take food out and place on table, that it. bit unfair on kitchen teams ,give them something on bonus on monthly basis

    Alright place to work

    Barman (Former Employee)
    Caernarfon, Wales (UK)

ProsA nice friendly place to work with focus on training and development rather than a blame culture. Provide a nice working environment.

ConsThe hours you can be expected to work are very long especially if you are on your feet all day. Work days end up being the same.
