Advice to Senior Management – When things got tough, they tried to do too much...good intentions, but too difficult. Should have stuck to the basics.

Pros – Whitehall had many long term employees, this was because they felt that they were treated well by upper management. The stores were located in the prime malls and the company always had a strong promotion at holiday times.

Cons – Whitehall declared Chapter 7 Bankruptcy (liquidation) and is no longer in business

Pros – Employee discounts are higher than most of their competitors,
Very flexible scheduling,
401K and other "full-time" benefits available to part-time employees.

Cons – Low pay,
Inept and unstable corporate management,
No corporate support of Retail Locations,
No fixed policies or structure,
Very slow inventory restock

Advice to Senior Management – Supporting the Retail Managers with sufficient and dependable inventory shipments, and timely processing of special orders would have made a huge impact on employee morale and store profit.
