    Pros

All of the staff treat each other like family. Managers encourage staff to exceed to their fullest potential.

    Cons

The demand to work overtime interferes with balancing work and life occasionally.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    I cannot think of any

    Cons

Expected to put in hours unpaid, insane and abusive management ( the more of a bully you are, the more promotions you will get), verbal abuse, being treated like a stupid child............. I could go on and on. I tried 3 times to work for Whittier because it is close to my house, and each time got worse. You are not a person, but a robot who is to be treated poorly. No flexibility, terrible and expensive benefits, and being asked to do things that you are not trained to do and do not feel comfortable doing, and being told to do it or get fired.

    Advice to Management

Fire everyone in management and start over with professionals, or at least with personality disorders well controlled. More training, competitive pay and benefits. Treat your staff with some respect, maybe just a little.

    Pros

The problem with this question is... it wasn't with the company that you found any of these things. It was with your co-workers. Their values, ALWAYS work to the best of your ability to give the best level of care to the residents.

    Cons

It has been over 6 years since the "hands on" staff, have even gotten a cost of living raise. Administration and upper management.. different story all together. That they would take money on the backs of the people who work for them, knowingly and selfishly.. SHAMEFUL

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending that your company is something that its not. Be grateful to the "real" hard working people in your employment and treat them accordingly.

    Pros

Some of the hardest working most generous CNA's that promote incredible team work.

    Cons

Has not been any raises even cost of living raises for 7 years. Seems they care more about $ than whats going on with the residents.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the aides on the floor. They know more of whats going on with their residence than even the nurses.
