A fun and supportive work environment

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Whole Foods Market part-time for less than a year

ProsThis company supports their team members with work-life balance. I am able to take unpaid time off to visit my family at the other end of the globe which means a lot to me. Most of the WFM team members are a pleasure to work with. I trust my team leaders and that they have the best intentions to help me achieve my goals.
Being able to attend interesting events based on products we sell and network (in your own time/not paid time)

ConsTime and attendance policies. They can be a little strict when an employee is going through a difficult time.
There is little time for training and development. Team meetings seem hurried so information passed on is never digested too well.
Physically demanding due to badly managed back-stock areas.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more aware of your employee's roles and challenges.
Better training is required for new employees. Your training is too fast and allows little time for discussion or employee input.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
