    Pros

Compensation for this type of job is very competitive. The environment is very supportive and and expectations are usually extremely clear.

    Cons

The regional and global levels are growing, however, they are still very unorganized. Mostly, there is a large disconnect between team members working in the stores and regional team members asking for specific things that are not very realistic.

    Advice to Management

Many jobs in store and team leadership can be difficult. There are less and less people looking for jobs at WFM that are truly interested in working there and not just finding a decent job. Coupled with the decrease in margins, time and money are getting more scarce. Systems that take care of things: scheduling, interviewing, ordering and productivity related systems need to be more efficient and easier to use.

    Pros

The supervisors do care about their team members. Coworkers are great and make things enjoyable. You can switch to other teams and move up pretty easily.

    Cons

Can get stuck on the same register all day. Very repetitive--say the same things over and over.

    Advice to Management

Let the cashiers move around more. Let them face the store to figure out where items are, to get off reg, and to be able to help customers more

    Pros

Whole foods is awesome I love it. I'm ready to retire with this company

    Cons

Some stores operate differently than others. If you feel like your store isn't the greatest you have the ability to transfer and try something new.

    Advice to Management

I am management so hello to myself. Hello there. Just kidding. Some of the other managers that haven't been with whole foods that long bring their old experience along with them and it isn't the WF way.

    Pros

It's an easy company to take pride in. Everyone really upholds the core values and it forms a solid bedrock for spreading enthusiasm.

    Cons

You can't park in your own parking lot. Food is still expensive with our discount. A store's career opportunities only exist if the store is making nar-nar grip.

    Advice to Management

Celebrate the passionate employees. Some of them are on the fence and their potential is untapped.

My Store Leaders were willing to meet me where and when I needed help the most. I would consider employment with this company again.

    Pros

Laid back and team oriented atmosphere. Good benefits. Very diverse culture. Casual dress code. Decent opps for moving up. Innovative. Fun environment.

    Cons

Internal systems and processes can be archaic many times across many areas from purchasing to HR to finance, but the company is aware and seems to be trying to fix this.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget your best people in the face of pushing a one team culture. Work to upgrade systems and processes as this affects TM morale too.
