Current Employee – been working at Whole Foods part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Many of the people who tend to work there are open minded and smart. The pay is pretty fair and the hours aren't bad for part time
Cons – Hard to really get ahead in this company, especially if you're not good friends with the management.
Advice to Senior Management – Perhaps, instead of being so cliquish you should take into consideration others who may be a bit different from yourselves. Try to revise your policies on your employees to make sure that they're also happy (happy workers make customers happy).

Former Employee – worked at Whole Foods full-time
Pros – Company wide - incredible how many people believe in the mission of company. IT specific - lots of training opportunities (in-house and external) to help you develop new skills. Well suited for junior level people to learn and grow. Excellent place for Business Analysts - good pay and easy to follow career path to leadership (management).
Cons – Unable to retain the best people. There are limited advancement opportunities for technical team members. Highly political environment causes best team leaders (managers) to leave. Pay for technical team members is below average and everybody's benefits are lacking (no paid holidays, low number of paid-time-off days, 401k match almost non-existent).
Advice to Senior Management – Reduce politics as much as possible and put the focus on facts and metrics. Put a focus on retaining the best team members/leaders and losing the under-performing workers. Address the lower than average pay and benefits.
– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Whole Foods full-time for more than a year
Pros – Laid back relaxed environment. People who work here seem extra friendly for no apparent reason. No one is out to "get you" here. I love being a part of the team and I love the grocery discount. This place strives to be the best everyday literally.
Cons – Touchy late policy more than twice in a six month period and you get the ax
Advice to Senior Management – Honestly none. This place takes great care of it's employees and the opportunity for advancement is always there

Former Employee – worked at Whole Foods part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Delicious food, free or discounted meals, recycles, diverse employees, generous discounts, above minimum wage salaries, great benefits!
Cons – Occasional rude customers and misunderstanding communication between managers and employees. Certain company policies can be ridiculous but still much more lenient than other companies.
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know and trust your team members better before jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers.
