    Pros

Willbros was a great gateway to re-enter Corporate America. I loved the fast past training and most of being introduced to a new exciting field of work. Working for Willbros on a part-time schedule gave me the opportunity to determine if returning to scheduled work day was my true desire; and it was. The interaction with peers, meeting new people, learning new skills has made be realize how much I missed it and has made me yearn for more.

    Cons

The Willbros experience left nothing but positive energy with me. My only regret is the decrease in gas prices forced the company to make some company sustaining decisions.

    Advice to Management

I don't have any advice for Management. I work with a team of professionals. My Director M. Agosto and my Supervisor C. Sherrod were top notch.

    Pros

The company has knowledgeable people locally. The people work hard and efficiently they try to provide a good fun atmosphere with a Foosball table to play a game when you want to take break.

    Cons

The corporate is running the company in to the ground selling off profitable divisions off to cover for the poorly ran construction division.

    Advice to Management

Sell the construction division to a competitor who can run it right and bring it back to a profitable company.

  5. The executive leadership team has mismanaged the company for years and it's now catching up to them.

    Pros

Right now there are no pros to working here. When the stock drops from $14 to 1.02 in one year - you have problems.

    Cons

I don't think the company will survive. It is likely they will be delisted from the NYSE. It can't pay its debts and had to take an emergency loan so they wouldn't default on their existing loan. They are selling off anything of value to make a last attempt to keep the company afloat.

    Advice to Management

You have run the company into the ground - this company is likely to be out of business

    Pros

The Segment Managers Values their peoples experience and will pay to retain you, Core Teams are kept in place when the work slows down. Somewhat flexible work schedule, and will accommodate individuals work /life balance. Benefits are about the same as other companies of it's size. Low voluntary turnover. Hard work is recognized, and the access to Segment Managers is a phone call or email away.

    Cons

Temporary 401K Match is suspended until the company is in a better financial position. Corporate Management is in disarray and the investors are not happy with the current board of directors. Utilization is over emphasized, and the company will stay stagnant as long as this is the guiding principle.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the Investors and resign your position on the board. Elect new Board Members who are much smarter than you.

    Pros

Large well established engineering company opened this new office in 2012. Parent company offers a solid foundation and a super bright future in the oil & gas engineering field. Benifits were excellent and the project que was many years deep. Decent office location in a modern, well appointed complex. Stellar IT dept and other company offices were helpful in resolving issues and providing assistance when needed.

    Cons

Management is unable to turn down ANY projects from clients no matter how unrealistic the schedule. Employees are often reminded that overtime was not required but strongly encouraged. Management states (always with a chuckle) "We're running on fumes and the schedule is ridiculous." "We just need to do what we can do." Associate engineering talent regularly disregards management directives in order to produce within client deadlines.

    Advice to Management

Offering advice doesn't make any difference. If you want to be a 'work-a-holic' without a life, this is the place for you.
