ProsReally had a great experience when the economy was healthy. Engineering and development were the companies strength.

ConsSince downturn, Brisbin has taken company to energy management, ignoring its base businesses. This company is in deep financial decay. How the stock is at $2.36 is beyond me.

Advice to Senior ManagementExpansion to energy management is good, but you are deteriorating in your core business. This is no longer an engineering company.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsCompetitive compensation. Moving away from less profitable industries toward emerging industry in markets with high growth opportunities.

ConsWilldan is shifting its focus to energy in markets where governments and utilities are investing more in the types of programs and services that it purports to deliver. Problem is that it's an operational disaster, and lacks the leadership or industry knowledge to have a chance at being profitable in this space. C-suite is an insular "band of brothers" who prize loyalty and deference over performance/merit. Far more bluster and swagger than vision and leadership from this group. Employees are generally unhappy, see few opportunities to grow within organization. Women and minorities are underrepresented. HR department is a disgrace. Overall, a total absence of accountability from line staff to C-suite. Board is asleep at the wheel.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring on industry experts and give them more direction over the company's course. Get clear about what the Willdan brand should be within the markets in which it wants to become a player. Enforce financial accountability in a more constructive/less punitive manner.

Former Employee – worked at Willdan Group full-time for more than 3 years

ProsI really enjoyed the work, atmosphere, and people at Willdan through 2008. I remain good friends with the people that I worked with from 2005 through 2008.

ConsThen the economy dropped out from under all of us. The office was closed and all were terminated.

Advice to Senior ManagementWilldan needs to find it's new niche, perhaps in energy analysis, and begin making money again. The stock feel precipitously from $10.00 per share to $1.36 today. That's not the sign of a healthy company.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
