Being full-time is the only thing to be happy about.

    Cons

No raises AT ALL. That is depressing

    Advice to Management

Give raises yearly. Some people really work hard.

I have been working at William Beaumont Hospital

    Pros

Working as a nursing assistant is a decent job if you want to gain patient care experience for nursing or PA school. Creating your own schedule is nice too, you can get your two or three days done and have the rest of the week off.

    Cons

Really tough work, long shifts (12hrs), and a lot of the nurses are hard to work with. Management is terrible. They will screw you over whenever they can.

    Pros

Good benefits, nice environment, nice perks

    Cons

Pay not quite as competitive as some other places. 403B matching is not the best.

I have been working at William Beaumont Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits, Paid time off. Alot of jobs.

    Cons

Management is not always effective. They don't deal with the bad apples that bring the place down. I have worked in multiple departments and there are alot in instances where nothing is done when an employee breaks major rules that can greatly effect patient care. Alot of things slide by and are never addressed. Alot of he said, she said drama in every department. There are alot of employees who get to personal and create so much drama in the workplace. Way too many lazy employees. Beaumont could be such a wonderful hospital and place to work if they would just crack down on alot of things. They waste so much money paying people to do absolutely nothing all day, so when nothing gets accomplished they think they need to hire more staff to do the job one person is very capable of doing. They pay hard workers crappy pay, even while someone with the same job title gets paid more and slides by doing bare minimum. The hard workers don't stick around so Beaumont will end up sinking.

    Advice to Management

Be tougher. Write people up. Get the bad apples out of here. Stop trying to make friends with all your staff.

    Pros

Great coworkers, intense environment, interesting days, busy, fast paced, friendly these are all things that make working at Beaumont a pleasure

    Cons

no incentive, not much room for progress, no raises. In the past few years at Beaumont, they have not done much to keep their employees happy, you wont get much other than a couple lunches a year to show their appreciation for you. They like to run a skeleton crew and that wears you down eventually. A raise every now and then would be nice.

    Advice to Management

give the employees incentive, keep them happy, show appreciation for their hard work, they will perform much better

    Pros

great environment. friendly people, great opportunities

    Cons

i basically learned my job on my own . they never had enough time to train because someone was always getting fired.

    Advice to Management

i cant speak for all management but the ones in my department should treat others with respect just as they would want respect given to them.
