    I worked at Williams-Sonoma part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Overall very organized business. As are their products, Williams-Sonoma is an elegant, well-oiled machine that is high-end cookware retail.

    Cons

Although very organized and a huge name in the retail industry, there are always flaws. Organizing systems and restricted work space, blah, blah, blah....overall the position was good. I was initially hired on as a seasonal employee, but was kept on after the Holiday season. But was laid-off 4 months (April 2011) due to cut-backs. At the time, my friend (who got me the job) was forced to take a demotion and a pay cut.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps to seek out more effective ways of discerning an employees strengths and weaknesses. Even after a short time at WS, I felt myself sinking into a perpetual loop.
