I have been working at Wilshire Credit Crporation
Pros – Wilshire is a growing company with rare opportunities (in today's economy) for people with real estate finance backgrounds to apply their experiences. Great benefits.
Cons – Company's technology is weak at best. Wilshire really needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up. Is it going to invest in people and technology to be best in class or be satisfied being a decent loan servicer and employer?
Advice to Senior Management – Better recognize the talent you have. Open the purse strings to retain your best and brightest. Many are taking the experience they gain at Wilshire and leaving to much higher paying competitors and vendors. Make Wilshire a more fun and happier place to work. There are many people busting their tails for the company and its customers every day but they won't keep giving and giving forever without proper recognition and compensation.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Wilshire Credit Crporation
Pros – The people are great to work with. They are knowledgable about the Subprime market and know how to do thier jobs without micromanagment.
Cons – Compensation differences for doing the same job. Job titles and job authority are not equal across teams.
Job titles are an important part of this culture. People listen and work better with people whos job titles are at a higher level.
Advice to Senior Management – Give people the titles that they deserve, the bonuses that are deserved, and pay people for what they are worth. It should not matter that you "need to be in a position X amount of time before you get the title and compensation for a specific job"
