I have been working at Windstream full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There are some great people here. That's really about the only good thing about Windstream.

    Cons

    1. Culture is terrible.
    2. Benefits are below average.
    3. Compensation varies depending on what your position is. If you are an engineer, you will most likely make more somewhere else.
    4. Promoting from within is almost non-existent anymore.

I have been working at Windstream full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company, tons of work to keep you busy.

    Cons

Not enough employees to keep up with workload and company is unwilling to create new positions for more people to be hired. More interested in hiring management then actual people that help customers. Internal systems are very poor and it's difficult to find customers info. They are great about billing the customers but not so great at keeping track of what services the customers have from a support stand point. With all the companies they've purchased, things just get worse and worse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think your ideas through before implementing them. Changing a policy every couple months because you realize it's bad for the customers isn't a very good way of going about things.

I worked at Windstream full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The office space provided was acceptable in size and the company provided adequate computer equipment to perform our work successfully. The company is trying to change the culture by getting remote work sites more involved and having events for those employees.

    Cons

Training was very limited due to tight budgets. Some offices received better training than others. Also, layoffs seemed to occur twice a year which did not give employees a sense of safety.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to hire more workers instead of managers, VPs, Directors

    Pros

The training was good. Salary is great and the opportunities for growth are endless.

    Cons

Training is too fast, you either get it or your out and the systems are ancient.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If the class is interrupted by others joking around it is unfair that others have to suffer the consequences. For instance no repeating what was jut explained due to the interruptions.
