    Pros

good salary is about all I can say good

    Cons

Worst employer I have ever worked for. They care very little about their employees. When expenses need to be cut, they do not look at wasteful spending, they just cut employee benefits or lay off

    Advice to Management

Loyalty is a two way street. To get the most out of your employees, make them feel valued. Make employees feel like they are part of the team, not peasants in your kingdom

    Pros

Great work environment. You start with almost 2 weeks vacation because they were a former utility. After 1 year you get 3 weeks of PTO, pretty solid. Company is moving in the right direction in terms of being more residential focused.

    Cons

    Outdated buildings, cubicles, technology.

    Advice to Management

Get more organized in terms your hiring process and promotions from within.

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Windstream has great benefits, good pay and amazing people to work with. I enjoy coming to work and plan on being here for a long time to come.

    Cons

Windstream has performed lots of acquisitions and migration is tough on any organization. The process to change is very slow and sometimes painful to those involved.

I have been working at Windstream full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very professional workplace, strong product offering, team oriented, strong training and good pay plan.

    Cons

While it is a very large company that comes with some down sides, it can take a while to get specific help with orders or customer care but it does get done.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on employee development and the customer experience. Continue to improve those areas and the new customers will follow.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Windstream full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Coworkers dedicated to customer service

    Cons

Little to no support from most of the network operations center employees due to lack of knowledge and/or training. Not proactive in troubleshooting of network and customer issues.

    Advice to Management

Past employee surveys have had little to no impact on management. Do not see any reason for future optimism .

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent starting pay for entry level around 28-30k annual. In Iowa Friendly co-workers a dedication to excellence.

    Cons

Unless you are in sales or support the sales function there is little to no career advancement. Avg merit increase for non-sales and or sale support roles is 1%. However, if you are in the sales support role and or project coordinator many doors open and avg merit increase is 3% annually

    Advice to Management

Focus less on sales and more on improving current network and customer care. Focus on financial service and loss. Learn the true meaning of Lean and Brand recognition
