    Pros

Friendly peers. No other reasons on pros

    Cons

Too much change. No respect for service lines folks. Very poor compensation structure and very poor increments

    Advice to Management

Cut your bulky salary first as an idea to reduce cost and change.

    Pros

Salary....maybe but you have to fight for it and they still use stall tactics and offer you wrong amounts hoping you'll just give up on the negotiation

    Cons

If you are a U.S. Citizen... everything. They spell your name wrong then you have to contest with Homeland Security that you are a U.S Citizen, even though you provided MORE proof than was necessary when hired. Deceptive offer practices including shady negotiation and mis-information. Lack of response regarding salary disputes, benefits and PTO questions. They are disorganized and lack the competency and understanding of U.S. work culture. If you're an IT professional and your department gets taken over by Wipro, watch out. If you're lucky enough to switch over to Wipro, your colleagues will not know how to do anything. If you're salary, you're expected to work more than 40 hours a week for the same pay, but when your client company has designated holidays that aren't on the Wipro calendar you're forced to use your PTO to cover that, or come in to work for no apparent reason. STAY AWAY FROM WIPRO...OUTSOURCING DOES NOT WORK!!!

    Advice to Management

When you take over a large company's IT department...make sure you are prepared and know what you're doing.
Don't promise a seemless transition then send the few retained IT people through the ringer just to make sure they get paid on time.

    Pros

Nothing I think about after knowing the policy of it's competitor.

    Cons

Many ... They don't treat employees well. Also they treat ex-employees very badly.
You won't see this kind of culture (worst) in any other Indian company. Management I worked with are opportunist and they don't remember our contribution once you left them. Exploitation of is the main goal to achieve maximum profitability.

    Advice to Management

Management should look into their exit policy and issue all the ex employees experience letter without any hesitation.
If you are BIG then you should do something BIG for the sake of your employees and ex employees.

    Pros

None. There are no pros. You will loose you family life and family will start loosing you. Horrible company!!!!

    Cons

Have so many good policies but they use all wrong way to harass employee. Unnecessarily keep employees in pressure with bonds and long notice period so that you cant jump to the next company.

    Advice to Management

Stop exploiting employees by saying good job and gaining money on peoples blood.

    Pros

    No reason as of now.

    Cons

All employee benefits have been cut off. Maximum leave accrual has been restricted per year. Insurance plans offered are very costly to employee(mostly cheaper for employer).
No proper utilization of resources for assignments.
Excessive work pressure on employees, unsatisfied customers.

    Advice to Management

Compare your employee policies with competitors and make employees happy which might get back this company in race.
Stop cheap cost cutting like keeping a cap on maximum leave accrual and giving costlier insurance plans.

    Pros

A $Billion off-shore softwerae development company with presence on 5 continents. This employer is very effecctive in promoting an agressive yet up-beat sounding mission statemnt and market presence.

    Cons

An extremely cuturally biased organization. If you are not an Indian National be VERY careful. The behind the scenes relationships are an insurmountable obsticle to having any message you want heard be heard. Policy and project decisions are amost lways made by friends in out-of-office meetings billed as social engagements to which non Indian National are never invited.

    Advice to Management

Stop baiting and awitcing on new hires. If you hire someone to do a particular job or serve a specific task don't sudenly layer on new and conflicting expectations.

    Pros

Growth oriented and aggressive attitude. These people want to expand and make money, so if you are interested in fast growth, Wipro is a great place to go.

    Cons

Salary is based on your visa status. So if you are on L-1 visa, then you are bonded labor and would end up getting paid atleast 10k less than H1 visa holders. Considering that you would not have a personal life left after all the onsite-offshore coordination calls done after 9pm, there is neither respect nor reward.

    Pros

none, there is not much besides consulting hops from one place to another. The company had a great product in the area of network management they had no clue what to do with it and sold it for pittance. The GM was clueless about it when asked. Another GM I worked for was primarily counting heads. overall a big no despite all the hype around the org.

    Cons

    - no relocation
    - extremely poor follow up on their own commitments
    - utter disregard for families

    Advice to Management

When you send engineers from India give them a life with dignity. These engineers who leave their home and everything are basically on their own expense after the 5th day. You have to ask for the cab money from hotel to the apartment you'd move in. No car, no relocation assitance except for help from site coordinators.

    Pros

Good company for starters from NON-Premium institutes(NON IITs, NON NITs, NON IIMs)
challenging environment at an early stage of career
    Good Onsite opportunities

    Cons

Low/Mid level managers(project managers, service delivery heads) can be mean and be biased.
Appraisal ratings does not entirely depend on your performance , you can be cornered if you do not have good relation with manager.
Company policies to an extent are Anti employee , esp the appraisal and expenses policies.
Lot of internal politics , that can be detrimental for an employee.
Salaries are way too close to the legal minimum compensation at onsite.
Management is ineffective in addressing people's concerns.
If you want to expand your knowledge base you will have to do it by yourself and at your own cost , Wipro does not have a good reputation for trainings.
Does not have the best of the projects for knowledge gain.

    Advice to Management

Make an effort to motivate the employees and they will contribute more. Work hard to change the attitude of managers and train them to think professionally and not judge based on personal rapport.
