Project Engineer (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsA good work life balance with good compensations makes it a better work place.
Career growth depends on the project you end up with (Good Project -- Great career and Bad Project -- Move out of it)
    Good team environment
Constantly engaging with social welfare activities

ConsLittle bit of Office Politics(which can be handled).
Sticking by the book no out off the box thinking.
Very Bad appraisal(but not for the peers from same place as the managers, I wonder why??)

Advice to Senior ManagementGood work and no politics please.

Wipro Technology senior software engineer review

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsSome projects are really good and you can learn a lot, If you are in the right project you will get ample opportunities to travel onsite for a long term as well.

ConsSalary Hikes are low, new policies for band progression and all are not friendly and they keep introducing new policies at the time of appraisal to save more money. Even Senior project managers are not aware of some of these policies.

Neither a good way nor a bad way, it's the Wipro way ;)

Senior Architect (Current Employee) Calcutta (India)

ProsNo accountability on your failures.. As long as you are billable or know a big-shot in the company, it's a go-as-you-like :D

ConsCompany of individual contributors.. team players are not cultured.. feeling you get is that you are working, not solving a business or a technical problem.. example, if I cut grass, I can feel either am cutting grass all alone in scorching heat or I can be happy thinking I am taking care of a cow and fulfilling her hunger and in-turn serving a greater good..

Not a great place for senior laterals

Principal Consultant (Current Employee) Calcutta (India)

ProsWork life balance is good, there are opportunities to grab. Can work in emerging market. Good place for freshers to learn.

ConsAttendance policy is back dated. Not a great company if you are a senior lateral hire. Long timers may not accept you too well and not very transparent.

    2. Good for freshers.

    Cons1. No financial growth.
    2. No growth with increased competency.
    3. Tenure based growth.
    4. Traditional approach to solution.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployee eccentric approach.

Wipro Technologies Pros and Cons by my personal experience

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) Bangalore (India)

ProsGood for experienced people rather than freshers. Freshers do not get a project for about 6 months to 1 year after joining. But will get a chance to work on multiple technologies if interested. will have good onsite opportunity.

ConsSalary hike will be very less. Also clearing exams has become a major criteria because of which appraisal will be effected. Hike depends on Manager and many other politics.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
