Many companies actually
Promotions are there but , lot of terms and conditions, and often opportunities come for internal postings but the employee is not released due to "Process Requirements".
Very Unpractical Agent Grading Parameters, which are not simply not workable
Agents are marked on parameter not under their control

they are not just a part of a process
someone needs to read them and act accordingly
Do you even care that most of the companies are being run by former Wipro Employees

Pros
Wipro BPO is the best company for freshers or unexperienced to start there career. Wipro BPO has lot of process, so no fear of process ramping down.
Cons
It was my dream to join Wipro BPO. Before joining Wipro BPO shown many dreams that we can earn & grow here. Now I came to know Wipro BPO is a blood sucking company. Wipro BPO never think about there employes. It force to do overtime & never give extra salary for that. There is no transparency in the salary. These days if one wants to grow here, he or she have to do ’Chamchagiri’ of manager. If one wants to resign from this company. He or she needs to serve 2 months notice period. They give lot of conditons for serving notice period. So employe never get there experience letter. This is worst company I have ever seen in my life. They have bad transport service. Employe has to wait for 20-30 minutes for cab. Cab drivers & gaurds behave like they are they owner of company. Employe never get leaves on time. Employe has to request to there team leader or manager many times for leave. Manager always think about there process. They never understand employe’s problem. While doing work in the office employe never get breaks on time. Employe has to work without having there lunch or dinner. Many employes are working here from last 5-6 years at Level-1. They still hoping one day they’ll get promotion. Attrition rate is pretty high in Wipro BPO because employes resining. For Wipro BPO Work First, Employe Second. But these days many good & growing companies obatining the funda of Employe First, Work Second.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should listen to emplyes issues. Management should increase salaries on yearly basis because in Wipro BPO they increase once in 2 years.

Goals and objectives defined by HR, and not by business needs
Very high organizational inertia, not ready for changes that are necessary
Senior Leadership clueless about strategic direction, more conversant on the command-and-control style, the atmosphere is extremely political
Extremely risk-averse and very complacent mind set, which is resulting in key losses.
Inadequate and unclear communication that percolates from Upper Management
Performance appraisal process lacks transparency and highly influenced by relationship with immediate superior.
